We invite you to enjoy our oceanfront villas or our villas with garden view only steps away from the ocean. Each house is decorated in the same beautiful hand crafted style, and we feature the same kind of décor, look and artistry. What varies is whether you rent a single story bungalow or a two story Villa. Let us describe the villas for you:

  
     
  KRISHNA Villa or RADHA Villa  
   
 
We have two 2-story Octagon Villas right on the ocean front called the Krishna House, in lavender tones with a King sized bed upstairs, or the Radha House, after Krishna’s famed Beloved, with a Queen sized bed in blue tones.
Each Villa has a balcony on the first floor with a grand view of the ocean, where you can watch both the sunrise and sunset, depending on the time of year. When you awaken in your bed your eyes can roam the vast expanse of the ocean right before you.

At night only the stars and the twinkling lights of the fishermen’s boats at sea will dot the ocean and you will feel as if the world is yours.

Downstairs you will find a living room with a carved daybed which invites you to lounge, read a book, daydream or visit with new found friends. Each oceanfront villa has either a King or a Queen bed on the top floor and a wooden carved daybed for one person downstairs, along with an exquisite set of a table and rustic chairs.

Each veranda just outside the living room has a rocking-laying chair for you to enjoy your oceanview.

Downstairs as well you will find an artistically crafted bathroom which will make you feel like you truly are in a whole new world.
  
     
   
 
All villas feature mosquito nets, an MP3 player, a walk-in closet and your own safe.

Our double story Octagon Villas:

Both double story villas can be rented as an entire house for your family, or as separate units. Each floor has its own equally beautiuflly created bedroom and bathroom, and either features a King bed or two Single beds.

The décor and style of each floor is exactly the same as our Oceanfront Villas, with each house featuring a different color scheme. And as you stand on your patio or balcony, your oceanview will now only be dotted by the shade of overhead palm trees and a lovely garden view.
 
     
 

Our One-story Octagon Bungalows:

VISHNU House & BUDDHA House

 
     
 

Temple carvings will greet you as you enter the one-story garden bungalow and a painting of three Buddhas will welcome you into the abode for your soul. Colorful bedcovers as well as the large open roof structure and the uniquely carved beds in each villa create an arststic Balinese flair. Bathrooms and bedrooms are equally beautifully crafted as in our Oceanfront Villas; filled with light and colors.

Our single story Octagon Bungalows are set in the garden, facing the Temple in the center of our retreat. Each bungalow has its own veranda from where you can see a little bit of the ocean, which is only a stone’s throw away.

  
 
     
 

OUR TEMPLE

  
   
 

Start your day in the beautiful Temple at ShangriLa and practice a gentle YOGA with Komang. She will guide you into gentle streches so you can start you day feeling fresh, strong and renewed.

After Yoga or an after an early morning swim, come and enjoy your healthy and delicious breakfast at our Oceanside Restaurant and dreamily watch fishermen’s boats and on lucky days evern dolphins float by.

  
     
   
 

During the day let us pamper you with a wellness package at our SPA for your rejuvenation. Here we invite you to treat yourself to a massage, a facial package, pedicure, a traditional herbal scrub or a flower bath.

 
     
   
 

During the day, early in the morning or in the afternoon sun, you can lounge at the ocean shore, go snorkeling, relax and recuperate!
The warm ocean water is safe for beginners and offers great snorkeling.

  
     
   
     
 

End your day under the night sky in our Watzu pool and watch the stars
Let yourself be pampered by our heartful staff and enjoy relaxation or adventures at your fingertips.

Amenities include:

  4. Each room is equipped with a fan
  5. MP3 sound system in each unit
  6. Walk-in closets in Villas and bungalows

For all guests to use:

  1. Snorkeling equipment is available for your enjoyment
  2. Laundry service available in-house
  3. Internet and telephone at the restaurant
  4.  A swimming pool which can be turned into a warm water WATZU pool
  5. YOGA and Meditation Hall when we don’t have a group
  6. Shaded Bales in the garden and by the ocean side.

We have had a number of artists stay at ShangriLa and either write their books or paint new paintings at our writer’s desks. Maybe they were inspired here by the ocean like Hemingway was inspired to write in Key West.
